Zzz 😴
It was yet another slow price action day in the crypto markets. Total market capitalization dropped to a daily low of ~$127.2 billion in the early afternoon, before swiftly recovering to ~$130.6 billion. Most coins are either seeing gains or losses in the ~1-3% range.

BTC is currently trading at ~$3,870, up ~0.4% over yesterday. Similar to overall total market capitalization, BTC experienced a sharp drop to $3,790 in the early afternoon before swiftly recovering back to $3,870. RSI levels on the daily chart continue to remain at ~54.6, indicative of some consolidation at these levels. BTC shorts and longs are also at a yearly low at the moment. 👀

Blockchain analytics startup Coin Metrics has closed a $1.9 million seed round that saw the likes of Fidelity Investments, Highland Capital Partners, Castle Island Ventures and Dragonfly Capital investing. 😲

Coin Metrics was founded in 2017 by Nic Carter and Aleksei Nokhrin as an open-source blockchain data and analytics projects. It is a provider of transparent and actionable crypto asset market and network data, and seeks to “equip serious investors with the tools to appraise cryptoassets in a rigorous, careful manner.” 👍

According to Fidelity, “Coin Metrics, Inc., delivers transparent and actionable data to various industry stakeholders” and it "looks forward to working alongside their talented team to interpret crypto-assets market and network data.”

Fake news 🤫
South Korea-based ICONLOOP, the firm developing blockchain project ICON that seeks to connect different blockchains via its loopchain protocol, has denied claims that it is planning to hold an initial public offering (IPO) and go public. 🙅‍♂️

Rumors surfaced when a report from Korean media outlet Pulse News cited “an investment banking industry source” saying that ICONLOOP is planning to list on the Korea Exchange by early next year and has selected brokerage firm Mirae Asset Daewoo Co. as lead manager.

According to ICONLOOP CEO, Jonghyup Kim, the news is "not true at all" and ICON does not currently have any plan to launch an IPO. He added that there have previously been similar rumors. 🤦‍♂️

The future is now 👌🏻
Capital markets blockchain startup Nivaura has raised $20 million in a second seed extension round led by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) that included other investors such as Santander InnoVentures, Linklaters and Orrick, Transamerica Ventures, Aegon, MiddleGame Ventures and Digital Currency Group. 💰

Nivaura seeks to provide platforms that can automate the entire life cycle of financial instruments (bonds, equities, derivatives) from issuance to settlement, as well as leverage public blockchains for registration and settlement such that a corporate can do a self-service issuance.

The investment represents a deepening of Nivaura’s ties with LSEG. Previously, the exchange operator worked with Nivaura on the issuance of tokenized securities as part of the regulatory sandbox program of the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Blockchain term of the day 🤓 - Merkle Tree
A tree structure in cryptography, in which every leaf node is labelled with the hash of a data block and every non-leaf node is labelled with the cryptographic hash of the labels of its child nodes. Hash trees allow efficient and secure verification of the contents of blockchains, as each change propagates upwards so verification can be done by simply looking at the top hash.

Poll of the Day
How much do you agree with this statement: "I'm a fan of diversifying my crypto assets" 💭
How many crypto assets do you own? Share with me in the polls! 😆
What you said
How much do you agree with this statement: "I am considering buying the new Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone.

The average vote was 4.6.

"Why or why not?"

I just bought the Galaxy S9 a month ago and was planning on using it for as long as I can (at least 2-3 years) lol.🤦‍♂️So not anytime soon at least. Looks cool though and I love the Galaxy line in general. - Ooo you just missed it!
Way overpriced and wallets can be installed on any smart phone. In time, I'd consider Pundi's X-phone. - True. Samsung phones are pretty neat though, especially the cameras. 📸
I currently have a good IPhone7+ and have no need to upgrade at this time. - Save the money and buy more BTC! 😉
too expensive too little gained - Prices just seem to keep going up! 💸
Because my current phone is to old and it's starting to malfunction. - Hate it when that happens. It's like carrying around a potato. 🤦‍♂️
Why not- it could be an avenue for cryptocurrency gaining panoramic popularity. I personally wish I have one of this phone as soon as its out for sale; knowing it will simplify mining for beginner like me. - It's a great start. Samsung is indirectly acknowledging crypto, which bodes really well for our community. 🙌
I am too old to care. - But young at heart. 👶
Too expensive and not my favorite mobile phone brand. - Fair enough.
i will stick to iOS because of continuity between my iPad & Macbook - also i trust apple more with security & password. my mom uses android & i do find its good for all purpose, also better priced. nowadays apple products are very expensive. - Personally have been an Apple user all my life. It's hard to imagine using another phone. 🤔
I purchased a Samsung game about a year and 1/2 ago and I like the phone very much - Niceee!
To make my crypto world simpler and easier. - I believe its gonna help drive adoption. 💪
Camera - The camera is no doubt very very impressive. 📸
Blockchain app integration may be useful - It's pretty convenient. With more merchants accepting crypto payments, it'll be useful for small purchases/ transactions. 👍
Have always bought Samsung. And now with krypto wallet it gets even better. - It's a big step forward for the space! 👣
I think it would prove to be something of interest - I share the same sentiments.
Naaw, waiting on the Note 10. Using the Note 8 now and LOVE it!!!! - I hear its a sick product. Friends have been raving to me non stop about it. Should probably get one for myself! 🤔
It's marvelous
- It sure is.
I currently use apple phones however the recent addition of an e-wallet function on the Samsung Galaxy S10 has definitely grabbed my attention. - Me too! I can totally relate.
I need a new phone - Get it!
No, no, no.. I'd rather buy bitcoin for the price of that phone. And I don't trust Samsung (yet) with my private keys. - I think people are gonna be skeptical at first, but I mean you don't have to put ALL your funds into the wallet. It's probably a better idea to just use the wallet for normal day-to-day transactions and fill it up as needed! 👍
Because this year will be a passage year for mobile phones. I think the 2020 will be the best year for the application of new technologies to the mobile. - Very likely!
Im on the odd years 3,5,7 9. Hopefully the 11 will be brimming with crypto features 😉 - My gut tells me its gonna be an exciting year (:
