BTC is currently trading at ~$7,320, up ~1.1% over yesterday. On the daily chart, BTC is still trading below its 21-, 50- and 100-day EMA support lines, and RSI is still at ~36.4, indicative of significant bearish momentum. On the weekly chart, BTC managed to hold its 100-EMA support line after testing it the week before. 

 

 

BTC also recently bounced off the lower bound of its lower highs and lower lows trading pattern/ channel/ zone it has been trading within since late June this year. 👀

Singaporean government-backed blockchain platform Tribe has facilitated the raising of another $15.7 million in fundraising for participating companies via its ecosystem. 

 

 

Tribe Accelerator revealed in a press release that a combined $28 million had been amassed to date. The money goes to backing startups worldwide trying to solve real-world issues with blockchain technology. 🌍

 

 

Managing Partner of Tribe Accelerator Ng Yi Ming said that another successful fundraising round "underscores the relevance of blockchain technology in solving real-world problems."

Spreading like wild fire 🔥

 
 

At its launch on 1 Dec in Southern China's Hangzhou, Huobi China revealed that it has joined a state-supported blockchain alliance, the Blockchain-Based Services Network (BSN) Development Alliance. 🇨🇳

 

 

The network is led by the State Information Center (SIC), a think-tank associated with China's highest central planning agency, the National Development and Research Commission.

 

 

It intends to offer infrastructure services for any Chinese or international entity that uses blockchain, and will be tested in 54 cities across China, including Singapore and Hong Kong for projects like smart city management.

New wallet! 💵

 

 

Japanese holding firm SoftBank has introduced a new debit card with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet in collaboration with U.S.-based wallet card creator Dynamics. 

 

 

Called SBC Wallet Cards, the new item can be used as a traditional debit card or blockchain wallet. Customers can also use it as both hot and cold digital currency storage and check balance-related data in real-time. 🤔

 

 

The card is now exclusively available in Japan, but SoftBank intends to introduce it in Southeast Asia, Dubai, the U.S. and South Korea in the future.

  • The Central Bank of Sri Lanka plans to create a blockchain-based know-your-customer (KYC) platform, and is calling for such proposals. 📝

  • South Africa's central bank, the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), is reportedly about to impose new regulations for using digital currencies to discourage users from avoiding currency controls. 🤚
